When you feel like your mind is too hectic, try coloring since this activity involves basic, repetitive motions that engage parts of cerebral cortex while relaxing amygdala. Amygdala itself is a brain’s fear center which can be influenced by colors. For example, cool colors like blue and green can evoke calmness, while hot colors like red or orange can be energizing. When your focus is on what colors to choose, what combination that suits best, it will help your mind to concentrate and relax at the same time.

Lower pain and anxiety

It helped improve their moods significantly and distracted them for bad thoughts and feeling while being hospitalized. Hence, you may try coloring just to lessen the level of stress caused by any physical or mental pain. Do it for around forty to fifty minutes and see if your mood is improved.
